Sixth folder, sixth picture tag

This is a new, fun, and different type of tag. I really don't like the ones that tell a LOT about you -- fav color, first dog, city, state, yada yada. I tell my friends don't ask me to fill out those silly emails if they ask questions that help hackers figure out your passwords. I HATE that. Now there are some that I figure are pretty safe, and I do those so as not upset my email-ing buddies too much. *wink*
But this tag is different -- I really think this one is pretty cool. My friend and sister in blogland, Donelda tagged me, so here it goes . . .

This is the 6th picture from inside the 6th folder on my computer. It is from an alpaca farm in New York named Patchwork Meadows. This was their first little female cria (baby alpaca) that was born on their farm this past year. We met the family who owns this farm at our first show in New York last July (I believe), and they have the sweetest twin girls who were soon to turn 21 at that time. They really hit it off with my dear teenage son whom they thought was a "bit older." Well, we all had a good laugh, and needless to say, I didn't take my eyes off of him (or them for that matter) for the rest of that weekend! :D Itching to see some more alpaca photos? Click HERE for Heaven's Gate Alpacas blog -- my parent's farm.
So there goes the story behind the 6th photo in folder #6. I am going to tag a few friends too. So, if you haven't already played -- I tag you to tell your readers a "little" about you (remember to keep the important info secret to protect passwords, etc), but you can still have a little fun!

All-American Snoopy

I have been trying to catch up on some of my swap commitments lately, and here are a couple of Snoopy cards I created for Mary Williams' snoopy card swap.
The first card is Snoopy in his convertible with some Harley Davidson diamond plated embossed dp. I actually bought it for the motorcycle, but thought it would go well with the car, too. Cause Snoopy's tough, ya know *wink*

I also created the motorcycle card with another challenge in mind. It's a patriotic card for a challenge my friend, Deb, is hostessing. Her goal is to help us use up our card kit swaps instead of holding on to them. You don't have to send anything and there are really no deadlines. She is just looking for some crafters to play along with her challenges. All of my kits are Christmas ones, but I wanted to play along anyway. :) Hope she likes it. I distressed the white and red sheet by crinkling it and sponging with tea dye Ranger distress ink. Added lots of sparkle, too. The All American sentiment was printed on the computer to fit the large oval punch.

This photo is to show you all the sparkle and shine of the stickles on the stars, and crystal effects and sakura gel pen on the motorcycle.

QUICK NOTE . . .

Just a quick note to let you know that the sale is running through Saturday, January 17th due to some shipping and sale glitches that needed to be reset on the website. When ordering you may see the free shipping is for priority (a change due to weight), but if the items can be sent by us first-class mail that will be the preference (due to costs). Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and I hope you are able to take advantage of this great savings before the end of the day Saturday!!

Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!!

I promise I will be back tomorrow with a card for you all. Sorry about all of the little notes lately. :)

Another Kissin Couple . . .

I just had to post another kissin' couple. I created this one to sell at a local store, but now it may be hard to part with. I think it would be a great card for my hubby for Valentine's Day, too. I didn't have a stamp for the loveseat they are sitting on, so I created my own by hand drawing a very simple seat and then ran the cs through the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. I used quite a few items that can be found at the store. If you are interested the items are mentioned in the details at the end of this post. Thanks for looking!

Here is the outside:

And the inside:

Details: Stamps -- Kissing Edwin and Kissing Tilda, sentiments from All Year Cheer and Love Ya Bunches (SU sets). CS used -- glorious green, creamy caramel, ballet blue, white GP110, DP unknown name brand (Thanks, Marcia!), small punched hearts, 3D stickers from SandyLion, light blue satin ribbon, silver cording, heart brad, and primas. Tools -- photo corner punch, textile embossing folder, swiss dots embossing folder, prismacolor pencils, gamsol, copics, white gel pen, and curved rectangles nestabilities set

Thanks for stoppin' by! Don't forget about our sale all this week until Friday!! More info in the post below . . . Happy Stampin N Scrappin!

CASE a sister challenge!

Hello there, faithful readers! I think there are a few of you still out there hangin' with me. It has been a busy month or two . . . or is it three? I actually started my on-line website in October, and I think my head is still spinning.

This card was created from a card kit that I will be swapping with some Magnolia fans on SCS in a Magnolia card kit swap hosted by Jessica (aka JLazarski). It actually serves two purposes, as I also used it for the challenge mentioned below.
Not much time for stamping it seems, but I just had to take part in this fun CASE (copy and share everything) a sister challenge with my SBS4 sisters. We have a Yahoo group too where we chat, challenge, and have some fun gift exchanges from time to time. This month Chris challenged us girls to CASE one another but keep it secret that way we could guess who it was that was CASE'd. I can't tell you here yet, but you can play along and guess too if you want. Whoever is the first to guess correctly will get an envelope of images, ribbon, and other goodies from me in the mail!! :)

Thanks for playing along! Happy Stampin N Scrappin!

Mini Design Team needed for KLSNS

EDITED FOR EXTENSION: I WILL KEEP THIS AT THE TOP UNTIL TUESDAY (JAN 6TH), BUT PLEASE SCROLL DOWN IN CASE YOU MISSED SOMETHING ELSE! :) Kelly

I am looking for 2 or 3 ladies to create cards for my KL Stampin N Scrappin store (mostly because I cannot find the time to do so myself). Right now the contest will be to use any Magnolia stamp that can be purchased currently on my site.

Why? I am in need of some gallery photos to go with the stamps I have for pre-order/sale for the month of January.

When? I have decided to give you all some extra time due to the Christmas festivities and time with your family, I didn't want to constrain you too much . . . so you may post your links here or email your photos to me at info@klstampinNscrappin.com by Tuesday, January 6th at the latest! These photos may be used on the website -- hence, you are giving me permission to use them there as well. They are just for visual aids/inspiration to help others see the potential of the stamps themselves.

What? All I am asking for -- at least photos of 2-3 cards using any of the Magnolia stamps shown here You can send more if you would like or if you have time to create more -- Go for it!! :)

What will you receive?! A FREE Magnolia stamp from the store when I send in the first order in January. I hope to have these out to everyone the beginning of February.

For now this is just a "mini design team" as I currently only run a "mini store." LOL I hope to expand it a little this year, but that will depend on my work schedule, time, money . . . well, you get the idea. Stay posted here for more DT requests though. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Thanks for stoppin' by!
