From a boy to a man?

I always question my titles, but this kept running through my head. Some of you may remember a band called Boys 2 Men (good music I might add) from when I was a bit younger *wink*

Anyway . . . my baby's turning 16 today, so . . . with great sorrow for my youth and his . . . here's his card I created with some props of before and now. The photo of him with our lab/Irish setter mix is one of my favorite, as it combines his boyish charm and Buddy's beautiful angel on his chest. (note you can click on the images to enlarge them)

As for the cards, the details are below, but I just wanted to mention, I smudged a little brown on the younger boys face, cause lets face it, if he was playing with frogs, he's a little messy :)

The dapper Edwin all in blue looks very handsome and grown up (but did you see I forgot to color his hair?!! geez didn't notice until my photos were finished). sorry for the poor lighting it's drab and dreary here today. Okay, thanks for stopping by. Now I have to run and get the cake and some pizza!! Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Also . . . if you haven't been to the KL Stampin N Scrappin blog, we are giving away a GREAT font set of Spellbinders dies. Stop by the blog, but you must participate to win! Good luck!

Card details: Boy w/his frog from High Hopes and Edwin with hat from Magnolia stamps The papers are Two Scoops from Basic Grey, ribbons misc from AC Moore, and chipboard from Bazzill. The images were colored with prismacolor pencils, gamsol and Copics.

So busy . . .

Hello friends!!
I have been SO busy with work, promoted to a new position that takes quite a bit of my time and totally neglecting my blog. I can't believe it has been almost 20 days since I have been on here. Well, I don't have any cards created in fact, I pulled from my stash last weekend for both my mom and my DH for their birthdays, isn't that terrible?! Well, they were cards that I had created, but I usually like to make something special for my closest family members. The time just slipped away from me.

So here are a few photos of this past weekend on the farm to show you . . .

Joey up close . . . and Noah with me. I liked this one better because of my smile, but I have another photo where he is looking me almost in the eye too.

This one is Shiphrah after a roll in the hay . . . boy did she get messy or what?!
My mom with Ariel. She is such a sweet, sweet pup. Great Pyramese are such big dogs, great for herd protection, but so loveable to humans. You couldn't ask for anything better than that.

The last three are actually from our trip to a Maple Syrup farm/restaurant in New York. This is a photo of my mom and dad, son and mom, and then my guys all kicked back enjoying a wagon ride. I couldn't ever get everyone all together. Oooh, I had some yummy stuffed French toast and sausage too. But the best part was really spending time with my family.

Ooh, lovely candy everywhere!!

I just had to stop in and tell you girls all about the lovely blog candy going on at a couple of my friends and a new find . . .

First off, one of the girls from my design team and someone who has become a good friend, Heidi, is giving away some goodies on her blog for her upcoming birthday March 14th. While you are there checking out her loot, be sure and tell her Happy Birthday!! :) You get all of these goodies, and there is a Magnolia stamp in there (one of my favorite things and a scenery set from KL Stampin N Scrappin too).

Then I found some sweet goodness at Karin's blog, too. Don't you just love calorie-free goodies?! Well, Karin even has a tin all dolled up with these sweet stamps in. This girl is a sweetie, and she goes above and beyond doesn't she?! Who wouldn't love to win these?!

Lastly, this is a new find for me . . . Janet at Pink Gem creates these little cuties, and she is nearing 50K hits, so she is giving a set of them away . . . how sweet is that?! Check out her blog for mor adorable creations where you can see these stamps in beautiful color. :)

Also . . . this sweet little ladybug award was given to me by Heidi, and I just had to show her off . . . too cute!

It's hard for me to choose 10 favorites though, as I visit SO many blogs when I have the time. I think my google reader is overflowing right now from the busy couple of weeks I have been having.
So here are a few ladies I try to visit often! :)

Birthday giggles

This cute little Tilda reminded me of the Shy Tilda carried at KLSNS, so I created a card with her yesterday while waiting for my son to come out of his knee surgery. It was a REALLY long day, but thankfully I have quite a few Magnolia card kits to keep me busy. This one came from Mary G (aka MBG10001 on splitcoaststampers). Card kits are GREAT to take along with you. I took my prismacolor pencils, a small pair of scissors, my roll of 3M adhesive tape, and Mary's card kit (along with another kit that I used the vanilla ribbon from), and voila -- everything was finished except blending my colors when I came home with my OMS. The tan layer was cuttlebug embossed with the Happy Birthday folder from Provocraft.

Lastly, here is a photo of the inside, which needs a white layer for writing on, but besides that . . it's ready to go.

Happy Stampin N Scrappin and thanks for stopping by! :)
