Precious Moments for Mom

There is a LOT going on at KL Stampin N Scrappin in the background. I am planning on adding Copics and Inky Impressions stamps soon.

So . . . go check out Nicole's cuties at Inky Impressions and let me know what you think! Kristine B (one of my SBS4 sisters) is not only on our DT with KLSNS, but she is on the new Inky Impressions team too! Congrats, Kris!! She has some adorable I.I. cards on her blog you should see.

Then if you haven't already checked out KLSNS's May challenge at PaperCraftPlanet, you should hurry over there too. Did you create a mother's day card for your mom? Did you take a picture of it? Well . . all you have to do is show it to us for a chance to win an Edwin stamp and some goodies from KL SNS! If you dont' have a photo of Mom's card, you can create a Memorial day card (something patriotic) for a chance to win . . . Using Edwin may get you extra "brownie" points. Tell your friends for an even greater chance to win! We would love to increase the participants in the challenges, so show it on your blog for another entry into the challenge. :)

Here is my card for the challenge. This one I created last week before I left for my parents' farm. It is the Precious Moments stamp by Sarah Kay with these sweet little peeps, which I colored with my Copics and prismacolor pencils. I then sponged the sides of the image to keep it kinda rustic looking and layered her on the Porcelain BG paper. The image was cut out with the curved rectangle Spellbinders dies. Everything you see with a link above is in stock at KL Stampin N Scrappin.

Thanks for visiting!! :)

Treat Yourself

Treat yourself . . . to some fun . . . maybe a bright colorful balloon?!

Well, us adults may not think a bright, colorful balloon is much to be excited about, but this cute little party dragon sure does. I remember when my son LOVED balloons, we couldn't get in and out of Wal-Mart without one. I barely notice any there now, but when he was little . . . they were EVERYWHERE! lol

This bright, cheerful card was SO much fun to make. I used the card sketch from SCS 225 and the colors were easy -- brights for kids of course. I just had to grab my Lime Rickey BG paper pad and match the card stock (bordering blue, brilliant blue and gable green cs from SU!) with the colors I used on the dragon image (prismacolor pencils and gamsol for him). Then I added a scrap of red polka dot ribbon from a hot cocoa gift that worked perfectly with this bright little guy. The balloon has crystal effects on it too, but not so noticable in the photo.

Highlights and stitching were also added with my Signo white gel pen to the image and the extra balloons on the inside. The sentiment was from the Sugarplum sentiment set from C.C. Designs.

Hope everyone has a bright, cheery weekend. We are hoping it doesn't rain Saturday, as we will be up at the farm hopefully shearing the alpacas.
Hugs,

KL Stampin N Scrappin News

I am swamped with work, but I really enjoy squeezing in some fun time too. I just had to let you know . . .

Did you see the new "Guest" DT member at KLStampinNscrappin DT blog? Stop by to see who it is, and I am SURE you will love her creations on her blog, too.

Also, every month someone on our design team hosts a challenge on the Paper Craft Planet web site with PRIZES, and we haven't had a HUGE turn out. Usually the same 5 or 6 ladies participate. We have been doing this since January, and I would love to have some competition there. So if you have time this month, check us out!! The challenge is a Memorial Day or Mother's Day card using Edwin if you have him, but if not . . . that's okay too! Stop by and see what's going on with our KL SNS Girls group!! We would love for you to join us!

Also, the store has some new goodies, stop by and see! :)
