Finally got to stamp

I got to use some of my new stamps the other day, so I thought I would share a couple of photos with you. The first one is for our House Mouse stamp of the month (SOTM) swap in which we all take the monthly image and create a card for everyone in the group. Then we mail them separately to the other 6 members in our group. It is nice to get them all throughout the month instead of one big envelope like other swaps. Kinda spreads out the joy a little. :D In retrospect, I wish I had colored the pie a little darker orange, but I was afraid it would be too bright. Now after I received Eileen's card, I think mine looks more like an egg custard. *rolleyes* But it really smells good. I used some pumpkin pie spice scented candle oil and swiped it on with a Q-tip behind the pumpkin embossed layer. There is also a silk leaf peaking through from behind the image as well. Pumpkin pie ink was sponged around the edges of the HM image, but it is pretty light in the photo to see. The little button on the ribbon was created with shrink plastic and the pumpkin from the SU Happy Fall Y'All set. That same pumpkin was stamped on the inside to carry the theme on through.
The next one was created in a workshop, but I added my new stamp from the Dreams du Jour (French for Daydreams) set, colored it a bit, layered it on a blue piece of cs and then added some liquid pearls to doll it up a bit. I sent this out to a dear friend from our local stampin group. I hope she likes it. Before you go, don't forget to comment on the blog candy post below. It is open for another week. Thanks for stoppin' by! Happy stampin' :)
