Too Stinkin' Cute Snowglobe . . .

I can't say I have seen a cuter skunk couple than these two . . . LOL. My dear friend and DT member, Cheryl, has been showing off such cute animal friends from The Greeting Farm that I had to go check them out and believe it or not, this is also my FIRST ever use of a digi image. :D yaaay. I had tried once before and the ink just dispersed across the page. Well, thanks to Kristine, another good friend and the senior DT coordinator for my KL SNS design team I can now use my digi creations (with a little heat gun action on the page after it prints -- boy, that was TOO easy, huh?!). Was I the ONLY one who didn't know this?! (I think so *blush*)

Anyway . . . long story short, they are having a guest designer tryout over at The Greeting Farm and although I don't have a LOT of free time, I figured by golly I was going to try out for just a "one month spot" with TGF and I was going to CREATE some "me time" to get it done!! LOL

They are running a 2-week challenge and I thought I had a little extra time to get the cards in . . . well, not so. I was supposed to upload this cutie Thursday night, and I didn't actually finish it all up until last night . . . not good. Well, I posted it in their gallery anyway (cause it's too cute not to share) and while I was at it found another challenge to enter it in.

-- Thanks to Crazy 4 challenges, this sweet acetate-toting couple qualifies.
-- It also qualifies for KL Stampin N Scrappin's snowflake challenge this month

(Stop by and see us too for a chance to win a $10 GC and free stamp from my store!!!).

Here is the completed card. There is a similar layer of the Eskimo kisses DP on the inside layered on a piece of ruby red cs and see the little snowflake creation in the bottom corner? (Note to self -- whatcha thinking not having a big snowflake punch from SU?! -- gotta get one of those). LOL

Card details:
Digi Stamp: Mistletoe kiss from TGF
DP: Eskimo kisses from BasicGrey
Nesties: Large circle nestability die
Embellies: faux snow (looks like the white Flower Soft I think), holly ribbon from my stash $1 bin at Target/Michaels, small snowflakes punched, glued and glittered, Lemonade brad

Thanks for stoppin by!!

Happy Stampin N Scrappin!! :)

Awwww this is way toooo cute hun!!!1 I love it, and what a sweet card!!

Also alot of the time with the digis it depends on the cardstock, and I print a bunch out so all mine are sitting and waiting to be used so the ink has enough time to dry. Also the walmart cardstock that is 110lb weight is wonderful for digis tooo, works better than su! and alot of the others:) Good luck to you hun, and enjoy coloring your first ever digi!!! :)

Hugs,
Cheryl

KELLY!! This is sooo STINKIN' CUTE!!! LOVE love love LOVE these cute skunks and to put them in a snowglobe is just genious! OH, that really stinks that you didn't make the deadline for GD over there, cause I think you stood an incredible chance with THIS cutie!! Good luck with the other challenge you're entering it in! :)

Yes, as Cheryl said, a lot has to do with the kind of cardstock you use too. I watercolor, so I use 140 lb. wc paper that is a dream! However it's too thick for my printer to pick it up, so I cut a piece bigger than what I need, and tape it about 1/2 way down the page of a piece of copy paper and it picks up the lightweight paper first and will print on the wc!! ;) If ya can't beat em... OUTSMART em!! LOL
