Not Much Stampin Time ... but I think I like it! :)

Hello there, readers!  I wanted to leave a quick note to let you all know how busy I have been lately - no stamping involved in this creative build ... well, not rubber stamping anyway (maybe a few stamping feet).  LOL

Here is what has been occupying our time lately at the Little household.  ...

This was what the deck and patio area looked like before (mostly grass with a little bit of stone in front of the double doors underneath).  There was just a shade screen at the bottom in case the dog wanted to lay down there to add more shade for him.

Here is what we used to get a lot of the work done.

Here is the guy who did most of the digging aka "playing in the dirt."   This is my hubby, Howie.

The deck was removed, and digging began to clear it out.  Plan is a patio made of stone pavers and a retaining wall made with mountain stone to create more area for entertaining and relaxation.

This is where the extra dirt went - a new parking space for the truck and trailer

B stone was brought in ...

Then pea gravel was brought in and spread out ...

The stone pavers were started ...

The parking area complete for now (could use some stone on top) while we let it pack down ...

Then on Saturday I finished laying the paver stones except the last row there on the right isn't level.  We are planning on lifting that up again and adding the cement footer portion for the decking that will be above.  We may extend it a little further as I have about 100 pavers left, and I also bought some shrubs and small palms to add to the ambiance.  I will have to show you all when it is completely done.  :)

Hugs and best wishes for a GREAT week.  I hope to have some stamping time this week (easier on the back ya know *wink*)

That's awesome Kelly... a lot of work went into that but it's looking so beautiful!! Love the pavers. Good luck on the upper deck! I'm envious of your luscious green grass there! I don't see much of that here in the high desert unfortunately :( It hardly rains. I imagine running barefoot and I'm sure your doggy appreciated the softness of it. ANyways... your place looks awesome--good job to both of you!!
