Sketch #64 Partnering with Carly's Cuties

Good morning, everyone!

I am a bit late posting today.  I can't seem to keep my days or schedules straight this week for us all (only 4 different schedules - lol).  I thought I had another day before this post *blush*.  So, well no more excuses - let's get on with the show ...  lol

The Sketch for Carly challenge #64 is being sponsored by "moi" this week.  I had sent a package to Carly and Kris to include in their challenges of stamps and some other goodies when they needed a fill-in sponsor, and so this week is one of those weeks.  These items are new and still in the packages from my previous on-line store (KL Stampin' N Scrappin').  Oh how I do miss having the store and leading a design team and challenges every month, but ... life just got too busy to keep it going, and I bow down to the other wonderful stamping supply stores here on the Web who keep things running smoothly day by day.  :)

This past week Carly had shared with us some lovely new creations she has come up with - Carly's Puppy and Carly and Snowman which are simply adorable (just to name two).  This summer Carly has add more girl images to her digis, and through the month of September they are offering FREE matching digi paper to go with these fun sets.  These little young ladies are perfect for the preteen or young at heart in all of us.  I REALLY had a tough time choosing which one I wanted to work with, but finally came up with this card last night.  You can find more here at Carly's Cuties!!

Here is my creation.  I have to say ... coloring this image was so much fun, and looking at it afterwards all I could think of was look at the "puppy love" in her eyes, so ... I had a few embellishments that went well with that - puppy paw flat back button and a love paper charm I had created in my scrap bin from a long time ago.  The word Love was on the DWMC paper from a paper pack that I used for some Christmas cards.  I accented it with some liquid applique and popped it up on a springy piece of paper to add some fun and dimension.  The pretty little pearly heart brads matched the pretty little pearl bracelet she has on her wrist too.  :)  The background papers are from BasicGrey Sugar Rush pad, and the Not Quite Navy and scrap of Pale Plum (I believe) are from Stampin' Up.

So, now that you have seen my creation, come along and try out the sketch with us at Sketches by Carly.  Here it is below, and after you create your little beauty, you need to post there on our challenge blog for a chance to win the prize package that was donated to Kris and Carly, so whatcha waiting for?!  Come along and have some fun creating with us!!! :)  We would love to see what you make too.

Happy Stampin!!
