Heartfelt Prayers and I Turtley Love you!!

Sympathy cards are often the hardest for me.  I don't want them to be too splashy, yet I don't want them to be drab either.  I usually grab neutral colors though when I want something a little classy/elegant.  The colors are kraft, vanilla and chocolate.  I also used the Textile Cuttlebug folder to add some texture to the vanilla piece, but my flash seems to have washed it out
(so not very easy to see).

This card is soon on it's way to a grieving mother in Harrisburg who used to have a jewelry store in our local area (if I remember correctly).  I recall hearing her voice and name often on a local radio station, and my heart goes out to her and her husband over the loss of their daughter a week ago in a mugging outside of Philadelphia.  Being a mother myself, I am sure there just aren't words to express how they must feel.  I hope this card, poem and our prayers help their hearts heal.

The inside has this poem I found on Pinterest
not sure the author but I felt it was so beautifully written) ...

We follow a pathway that has no end
As we travel through life day by day.
Together with those who are dear to our hearts,
And are there by our side, come what may
But sometimes a loved one must travel ahead
For reasons that aren’t always clear,
And we’re left behind to continue along,
Missing one who is no longer here.
And while it may seem that the pathway has stopped,
It merely has rounded a bend,
And our loved one goes on to a much brighter place
Down the pathway that has no end.

Another lovely image by Kris "Turtley Love You" is so cute and beautifully colored,
which made it so easy to create a quick side step card this morning as well
to add to my fun collection of Valentine's Day cards.
