I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a little busy and really flew by as usual with hubby only home one full day with me on the weekends, so we try and cram a full day in on Sundays ... anyway, it's great spending time with him, but ... I took a little "me" time tonight and snuck off to my craft room to create a card or two (have a couple more in the making to show you soon).
I stumbled onto this blog with some cute sketches of some every day images that one could use for birthdays or special occasions called "Flat Friends." Emma, whom I believe is from the UK with some Irish heritage (read about recently), has created these simple, yet adorable flat images, and I thought I would play along by grabbing a few freebies there too ... unfortunately I didn't pay very close attention to the challenge (more than 1 fold) and will have to try again with one of the other images I printed for later if I want to play in the challenge this month *doh*
This sweet image is called "Cupcake," and I believe it will be perfect for an upcoming friend's birthday next month ...
- Image: FlatFriends by Emma
- Sentiment: Sneak Peek from Imagine That ... stay tuned a couple of days to see more!
- Tools used: Spellbinders Lacy Ovals, Spellbinders Large Ovals, Stampin' Up large oval punch and large oval scalloped punch.
I also played along with the sketch part at Digi Sketch Challenge this week. Come take a look! :)
Inky Hugs,
