Yearning for Spring!!

As the deer yearns for water, Dear Lord, my soul yearns for you (Psalm 42:1) ... well that's the verse, but truly I am yearning for warmer weather and a chance to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful colors of the Lord's artistic palette.  Anyone with me?!  Oh, just to take a stroll around the hill and see the beauty ... well, I know I can still do that in the Winter, but it's a bit slushy and icy in spots around here right now.  I can't wait for a good break in the weather to get out there and walk/jog.  :)

In the meantime, I am dreaming of Springtime while coloring lovely images from Imagine That! Digis by Kris.  These lovely Daffodils are available in color or sketched so you can color them yourself (jpeg and png formats too so you can adjust them however you want - resize, layer, etc).  I just printed them out 3 in a row on some kraft cardstock to try my hand at coloring on kraft.  Ohh, I really love how the colors pop right off the paper at you.  They were leaning towards my light green gingham paper, so I just had to grab it, my Cuttlebug folder with the little flowers and my Martha Stewart punch for the lacy look on the edge of the paper.  The inside was decorated much the same with a piece of white left blank for a special occasion.

Try your hand at printing some on different colors too, vanilla or kraft for a change instead of white.  I think they look lovely.

Love, Love LOVE this card Kelly! Great on the kraft, and I like that floral embossed border you did on the kraft as well. Green gingham is perfect with these springy daffodils. I'm with you.... tired of the slush (well now it's just mud) and want, (well I really NEED) to get out there and walk more. *Ü* It's coming my friend! xxKris

These daffodils are gorgeous, Kelly! And I love how they look on the kraft background. I'm SO dreaming of Spring, but it looks like winter is hanging around for as long as possible. That's why I need to check out these papercrafting daffodils, too!!
