I thought this adorable image from Jacqui McNeil's Digi Garden shop was just the cutie to help celebrate a summer birthday. I love these bright purple and yellow colors on her colored image. So, with this image in hand, I began my sketch for Sketches by Carly this week.
Our sponsor is ...
and one lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate for playing along with us!! :) How much fun is that? There are a lot of cute digi images there to choose from as well.
So without further ado ... Try out this sketch for your chance to win!
Here's my contribution ... it was a quick card, but with a pre-colored digi and a sketch in mind it came together rather quickly. :)
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see your lovely creation at our challenge blog over at Sketches By Carly. Leave me a note here if you play along, as I would like to be sure to see what you created too! :)
Card Deets: Card stock: Yo Yo yellow, black and glossy white from Stampin Up; DP: Two Scoops from Basic Grey; Corner punch and Small Tag punch from Stampin Up and an older tag stamp set (can't remember the name) as well as circle and scalloped circle dies from SpellBinders. The ribbons, flower and brads are from my stash of odds and ends.
(Special Side Note about Stampin Up products: I must add although I have tried many different companies papers, I always come back to Stampin Up card stock and classic stamp pads because I know they will match perfectly -- and since I am color blind, believe me, that is a BIG deal to me. I have been a Stampin Up customer for a number of years now, and this week I have to tell you all that I received some amazing service through their customer service department. Pam Estes was so very kind, courteous and definitely quick to respond to my email this week about a defective punch that I had purchased back in April and actually had packed away in my punch drawer until about 2 weeks ago - I know, I know, why hadn't I used it yet? Time really. But I wanted to let you all know that without a ton of questions, she is sending out a new one to me! :D Yeah!! I thought I probably didn't have much of a chance at a replacement, but my demonstrator told me to email them and see what they say .... I thought that was such GREAT service from a large company like Stampin Up that I just had to mention it here on my blog and let you all know.) Hope you all get great service whereever you go, but if you are looking for terrific, matching items from your card base to accent brads - Stampin Up is the WAY to go! :)
Hugs,
