Make A Wish KD kit - Lovin' It!

Hellooooo, Crafters and Friends! :)

I took a little time off this summer to enjoy some family time, but I am hoping to get back to a few cards a week at least now that the fall weather is upon us.

I needed a quick card today for a BRAK (birthday random act of kindness) mailing, and so I grabbed a couple of printed digis and digi papers from Imagine That ... digis by Kris' Make-A-Wish KD Kit.  This kit is superb for a quick celebratory card of any kind.  I am sure you will find you can create a lot of things with it as well.

Life with Porpoise

It's a new month already, and Imagine That's blog has a great new Dolphin image for the Monthly Progressive Challenge. My card is fairly simple, yet sweet with this adorable, pre-colored image from Kris.  It truly made for a quick card using a Cuttlebug dry embossing folder, Spellbinder's Labels One dies, some scrap paper, a whale charm from America and some ribbon.  Hope you like it and get a chance to play along with us too.

Wishin You a Meowy Little Mouse-mas

I have been making Christmas cards lately to "keep cool." ;)  Seriously, I figured why not get a couple more done today (this post now and the other one will post tomorrow).  This one is using the digital image from Imagine That Digis by Kris called "Meowy Mousemas."  It is the July Stamp of the Month Challenge from the Imagine That blog.  Join us this month and get next month's image for free.  Don't have this image already?!  Check out the blog (click on the previous link) to find out how you can get this one at a discount.

cut out with Spellbinders Labels One dies, Christmas DP from both BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses, other scraps and a tablet I received from my good friend, Chris Sather, years ago (yep I still have it and use it sparingly).

I copied the same sketch idea on the inside with the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses piece, blue striped paper, Labels One dies and two of the sentiments from this set.

I.T. Ladybug for Summertime

We had a wonderful weekend with family and friends, and this card just flowed.  My hands weren't very steady though, and the coloring isn't perfect, but ... it sure was fun to make it.

The cute ladybug image was created by Kris at Imagine That Digis.  You should really check out her new designs for June, which can be found here.

Post 400, Blog Candy and Birthday Cards

 This card is for my nephew who has a birthday later this month and loves to play golf! :)  The golf set was perfect, and I enjoyed pop dotting some pieces up to add dimension as well.  The argyle ribbon in my stash was a fairly close match as well.  This was a fun masculine card indeed.

Chillin in the Pool and Exciting News!

Hey there, readers and friends!!

I have created this first card for Imagine That's June SOTM Challenge! :)  What a sweet penguin set perfect for so many different cards - Chillin' with your friends, Father's Day, Thinking of You, etc.  The set is called "Poolside Penguins," and if you didn't receive it in your email for playing along last week, please let Kris know.  You can still join us by purchasing this cute set for $3 right now in Kris' store (or purchase $10 and mention you would like Poolside Penguins in the comment section to receive it for free), play along with us in the challenge, and then next month you will receive the July set for free and so on until the end of the year .. Card Details:  Bashful blue cs dry embossed with spots and dots folder, Pool layer, waves and polka dots are from the Summer Fun digi papers, accented with Copics B00 and B18.  My Mind's Eye cloud scraps cut with my 1" circle punch and penguins layered with the Spellbinders' Classic large ovals and scalloped oval sets.

The second card is the first one that I have created for my Guest Designer position with From The Heart Stamps design team!!  Yaaay!  I am so thrilled that Faith, Imke et al have chosen me to be on the team for the next two months!! :D

If you haven't noticed, I have been creating a lot of beach theme cards lately.  I guess it is because I have the beach on my mind ... can't wait for our vacation the end of July in which we will be heading out to a NJ beach.  My first time ever in New Jersey, so I will have to post some photos and let you know how it went :)

Card Details:  The digi image on this card is from From The Heart Stamps Wind Song colored with Copic markers (B00, B02, B18, B29, YR16, Y18, Y13 and Y11).  Card base is just Neenah white cs, then Stampin Up's brilliant blue layer in the background, SU Summer Sun used for the sun cut-out, accented with Y18 Copic marker.  My Mind's Eye cloud scraps cut with my 1" circle punch, larger dotted circle cut out from a cool pattern on my Kleenex box (saved for a while now), layers cut out with the Spellbinders' classic rectangles and scalloped rectangles sets, wave strip from Summer Fun digi paper scrap.

For the card above, I have used Sketch 69 without the twist (One for the Kids).  You can see the sketch below and play along with us at I {Heart} Sketches! :)

I {heart} Sketches #68 - From The Heart

Do you ever just peek at a sketch, turn off your computer and then go to work crafting?!  Well, that's what I did with this sketch, so ... I totally forgot that circle in the center of the rectangle, although I did use an oval for the partial sentiment (and I flipped it).  I think it "kinda" qualifies.  :)

Anyway, it's all for fun, and possibly I will get another one done today, so for now ... 

I'm Not Gonna Sweat it either! :)  lol

Bananas over my Babe - Happy Father's Day!

Although Kris has a lot of great images at Imagine That Digi Stamp Store for Fathers like Cowboy Boots, Airplanes or Farmer John.  With Father's Day coming up, I have been wanting to use this great sundae and fruit set called - Parfait Delights with Tooty Fruit digi papers to match.  Well, I'm not sure about your hubby, but mine sure has a sweet tooth and loves bananas.  We go through a bunch or two of bananas every week.  So ... this definitely fits his personality, and I am sure he will love it.

Love Lifted Me

This beautiful hot air balloon is from Imagine That Digis, and it's called Love Lifts You!  Of course, the hymn "Love Lifted Me" comes to mind when I work with this set.  It definitely screams summer to me with bright, cheery colors and fun puffy clouds.  :)

I am using this lovely hot air balloon for a summer card swap I am taking part in over at SplitCoastStampers, and I am trying to get my layers just right.  I do hope the others in the swap like them too.  :)

Sending a Little Love

Hello, readers and friends!

This week I was in need of a sympathy card for a friend.  These have to be one of the hardest things for me to create, and to make it just a tad more difficult - it's for a guy.  I am hoping he doesn't mind a slight feminine touch to this card (tiny flowers in the BasicGrey Two Scoops DP).  The black and white piece on the first card is also the Romance papers found at Imagine That!

These terrific sentiments are part of a set from Imagine That called Sentimental Thoughts!

... and they are perfect for a quick card to let someone know you are 

thinking of them, don't you think so too?

Getting Ready for Mother's Day!!

Imagine That's challenge set this month is "Girl with MOM Banner!"  I thought this sweet image was perfect for a Mother's Day card for my Mom! :)
