Rubber Ducky You're the One!

Ohh, it was a busy week, but a pretty good one.  It finally warmed up today, but we had a lot of rain.  I can't complain, it's better than snow at this point, and although we were out slipping and sliding last night, we did make it home okay, so God is Good! :)

I was asked earlier this week to make a baby card using a duckling for a friend whose daughter is having a baby next month, so I grabbed my a few digital images, one of my baby stamp sets from Clear Art stamps, some BasicGrey patterned paper, Cuttlebug folders and Stampin Up paper and inks(Tempting Turquoise, Taken with Teal, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Not Quite Navy to name most).  Then I got started!  :)  I also found this sweet image of a duck card on Pinterest that I loved, tracked it down to THIS BLOG but unfortunately was not able to purchase the dies from Peachy Keen any longer, so I thought I would try my hand at sketching it and cutting it out myself.  It's not perfect like this little cutie on Erin Lee's blog, but I sure had fun making him.  The sentiment is from Imagine That by Kris Breach from one of her new January release - Sweet Deer set.

This card was made with a free clip art photo I found.  Can't find the site to give them credit now.

the letter block stamps were from the same Baby Boy stamp set from Clear Art Stamps.

The Number and Bubbles Cuttlebug folders were used to add texture.

Baby Girl Baby Shower

Wow, it's been a while since I have posted, and life has been busy as usual.  This afternoon I had the great pleasure of attending a friend's baby shower.  I created a cute, yet simple, onesie card before I left (to go with the pink goodies we purchased and the owl and bear hat I crocheted) for the sweet couple.  The card was created using my  SU 1 1/2 inch circle punch, some hand trimming of the card stock, some K and Company designer paper and some flowers, ric-rac and pearl embellishments.

This adorable diaper cake was created by the mother of the expecting mother (and our dear friend Robin).  Isn't is adorable?!  I haven't made one of these yet, but really applaud how you ladies

keep all of these diapers so neat and tightly packed.

Unbearably cold outside? Beary Cute Hats

Well, the weather outside is frightful, so staying inside and crocheting is much more delightful!

 :)  I think I am hooked (no pun intended) at making these cute little infant caps/beanies.  I have made a few owl hats, the sock monkey hat for Alyssa and now two of these cute bears.  These baby bear patterns were found at http://KnitProCro.com.  Deborah has this adorable baby bear hat pattern as well as a panda bear hat pattern that you may want to check out.

The one with the  brown nose is made with all alpaca yarn, so it is softer and doesn't hold its shape as well as the heavier weight yarn one with the black nose.  It will definitely be softer but still warm and snug.  The alpaca will stretch a little bit too, so although he is floppy when taking photos, 

I think it will be a lot more comfortable for baby.  :)
