Post 400, Blog Candy and Birthday Cards

Tonight is post #400 for me here on Wishin I Was Stampin! ... woohoo!  I think that means I should draw a name for some goodies!!  I have a few rubber stamps left from my KL Stampin N Scrappin days, so anyone that comments has a chance to win the following:

This first card was posted already on Facebook, so if you are a follower of Imagine That Digis by Kris, my apologies for the rerun.  If you are not, you will want to stop by there soon!  Kris gives out free digis on Thursdays and from time to time depending on the number of likes she has on her page (and we are almost at 300 so that means a new freebie soon!  Super, right?!  Who doesn't love FREE?!

 This card is for my nephew who has a birthday later this month and loves to play golf! :)  The golf set was perfect, and I enjoyed pop dotting some pieces up to add dimension as well.  The argyle ribbon in my stash was a fairly close match as well.  This was a fun masculine card indeed.

Kelly's Post-Birthday Blog Candy!!

Hello there, readers!  

Yesterday was my birthday, so as a friend tells me nearly every year, "I made another trip around the sun."  

That makes me chuckle.

I had mentioned in a previous post that I would have some blog candy coming up soon, and I just had to get some other goodies together to take the picture, so here it is!! :)  

I hope you see something you might like.

I have had this Two Red Bananas set for a while now (Made in the USA by the way), and it's just so cute.  I just haven't cut it apart or inked it up, so I thought it would make a great gift for someone.  Terrific for get well or congratulations cards with the "lucky dog" or "Having a Ruff time?" sentiments.  There are a few papers in this stack that would work well with a dog image as well as some swirly, pretty girly things, so there should be a little something for everyone.

Winner And TMS Challenge

I would like to first show you a card I created for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #140 using some Doodle Pantry digi papers left over from the card I shared yesterday and both a sweet elephant and pressie image from  Carly's Digi Shop.  I created my card using the sketch in landscape view instead of portrait I guess, as I wanted to also challenge myself to try a Z-fold card again for a change.  :)  Let me know what you think ...

WIZARD BLOG CANDY

Hello to my dear friends and fellow stampers,

I have been meaning to post some goodies for a Blog Candy giveaway, as I have passed the 20K mark, and started a new year with my small but growing KL Stampin N Scrappin Store. :)

I have a slightly used (maybe 5 or 6 times tops) raspberry colored Wizard that I just could not get the hang of. If you are not familiar with Wizard, it is found on the Spellbinders site, and it works with a ratchet-type handle instead of a crank. Guess I am "ratchet challenged." LOL I have an older Sizzix that I kept reverting back to since I couldn't get the hang of the Wizard. For the sake of creating space and organizing, I would like to give this away to someone ($99.99 value) if you don't mind paying the shipping, which I figure will be around $10-15. I will ship the cheapest way I can to save you money. I just hate to throw it out.

I have the instruction manual, DVD for visual instructions, both thick white plates, a thin white plate, embossing rubber and thin magnetic sheet.

I will also toss in some cuttlebug folders and a Spellbinders die or two. All you have to do is comment here if you are interested. I will choose a name by Sunday, January 17th to win, and I will invoice you through PayPal the cost of shipping.

Few of my favorites and . . . such terrific friends!

With a good friend, Helen Phelps, mentioned her "favorite things"-- the song started playing in my head. LOL So . . . I had to show you a few of my favorite cards that I created for last Christmas. I plan to create a few more if I get a chance this weekend too.

Lots Happenin' at KL Stampin' N Scrappin'

Oh my gosh, there has been so much going on behind the scenes at KL Stampin N Scrappin that I am dizzy and a bit giddy with excitement! The newest Magnolia order is on its way. The BasicGrey is on its way. I am excited about adding High Hopes stamps, too, but have only had about 5 items ordered for them so far. So . . if you are interested in something from High Hopes that isn't shown in our store inventory, please let me know, and I can add it. I would like to send Bethany a big ole first time order from KL Stampin N Scrappin, but I don't want to hold onto a lot of the older stamps if you already have them too. (watch for a new release coming between November or January from HH too).
This page was created for a circle journal in which a group of good friends from over at SCS and myself have been participating for a while now. This year we are to decorate the folder pages to show our stampin' style and a little bit about ourselves. Well, my son is a very big part of my life, so this page was about him. All the time growing up Cody would stick salamanders or tiny toads/frogs in his pocket and everyone said he was "all boy," so although we have never had a lizard this Edwin reminds me of him. Also the Lime Rickey paper is perfect for boys and bright colors, right?!

This page was created with the Clarabelle and Riley stamp, but I just had to cut out Clarabelle (sorry girl) and add an alpaca since they are another big part of our lives (although we don't care for them on a daily basis as the farm is at my parent's home), we do LOVE to visit and take part when we can in shearing and showing, and watching a birth (when we can). I also used the Spots and Dots folder and rectangular nesties on this page. I kept the pages mostly flat so that they closed nicely in the book with all of our other goodies in there, so not too many embellishments here.

Also . . . we have surpassed the 15K mark according to our counter over at KL Stampin N Scrappin DT blog, and I am very proud to share a few goodies I got at Target the other day with 2 LUCKY WINNERS, so . . . head on over there by Monday night 12 ET for a chance to win this collection plus your choice of one of the Rachelle Anne Miller stamps that are in stock at the store.

Oh my gosh, when I saw these CUTE animals in the Magnolia pet collection, I was totally drawn to them. I just love their sad little puppy dog eyes, and this monkey looks all cute and fuzzy. I was really torn if I was just going to color and shade him with my prismas, color him with copics or use fun flock on him. I love fun flock but it is hard to get good coverage without taking away from your colors or shades. . . ahh, at last I just decided to color him with my prismacolor pencils and blend with gamsol, touched him up a bit with a Signo white gel pen to add more highlights and layered this little cutie on a pretty floral piece of Lemonade paper.

This little guy will be given to my dear hubby this Wednesday for a very special day, as he has been "monkeyin around with my heart" for the past 19 years. I do hope he loves this monkey as much as I loved creating him. I decorated the inside too but forgot to take a picture *sigh* sorry.

Ooh, lovely candy everywhere!!

I just had to stop in and tell you girls all about the lovely blog candy going on at a couple of my friends and a new find . . .

First off, one of the girls from my design team and someone who has become a good friend, Heidi, is giving away some goodies on her blog for her upcoming birthday March 14th. While you are there checking out her loot, be sure and tell her Happy Birthday!! :) You get all of these goodies, and there is a Magnolia stamp in there (one of my favorite things and a scenery set from KL Stampin N Scrappin too).

Then I found some sweet goodness at Karin's blog, too. Don't you just love calorie-free goodies?! Well, Karin even has a tin all dolled up with these sweet stamps in. This girl is a sweetie, and she goes above and beyond doesn't she?! Who wouldn't love to win these?!

Hey there, fellow readers and papercrafting friends!!

You get a sneak peek of my card for the design team blog a day early. :) I am cheating and posting it here today and there tomorrow. I know, I know, but you only get so much time in a week . . . might as well make it productive, right?! I did combine a couple of challenges for this one too. It works well for the Ways to Use it 202 challenge on SCS, my friend Deb's card kit challenge (as I used parts of my BG card kit to make it) but I am a little behind on that one, and Carolyn's challenge on Papercraftplanet in our KL Stampin N Scrappin Girls group. Come join us for some fun. You have a whole month to create something for a chance to win a pack of Bittersweet 6 x 6 paper and a pack of 24 glazed Bittersweet brads to go with it.

Bittersweet, Two scoops, Tilda with Rose, and I think I am in "love" :D

Wow, this was a fun card to create, but I had a tough time deciding what to put on the right hand side.


The stamp used is Tilda with Rose, and her dress is paper pieced with Two Scoops (glitzed up a bit with my Stardust stickles to look like the pretty glitter paper you see for $2-3/sheet), then layered on some Bittersweet papers, some punches, prima flowers, and a Bittersweet glazed brad with a little heart to bring it all together. I had a whole polka dot scalloped theme going on there. I think it all works well together, but I sure am not as good at it as the rest of our design team!
